BEAR EDGE is the exclusive brand of edging created by Bear & Co Ltd right here in New Zealand. Natural Wood Edging needs to cover a wide range of applications, and so Bear & Co produces and supplies natural timber edging in continuous rolls of veneer and thick edging, as well as solid wood edging. We are continuously innovating and developing to meet the needs of our customers, bringing new solutions to market.

continuous roll NATURAL WOOD veneer
Made from premium grade FSH certified veneers, our natural wood veneer edging (typically 0.4-0.7mm thick) is finger jointed into continuous rolls. We offer a wide range of exotic and NZ native timber varieties, in standard roll lengths and widths or custom cut to your specification.
solid wood edging
Solid Wood Edging can be a perfect alternative for those wanting premium thicker edging, especially where continuous roll edging is not available or where a custom width and thickness is required. We can manufacture Solid Wood Edging from any timber commercially available in NZ in lengths up to 3M, widths 18mm to 62mm, and from 1.5mm to 10mm thick.
rollED thick edge
Rolled Thick Edging is a multi-layered veneer product which typically presses 3 layers of 0.6mm finger jointed veneer together into a single thick edge (1.9mm). This premium product provides the production efficiency of a continuous roll product with the benefits of a thicker edge. RTE is not available in all timber species as it is an imported product to NZ.

Bear & Co is developing a new multi-layered veneer strip product to cater for edging requirements for thick edging either longer than 3.0M, wider than 62mm, or from particular timber species not available in traditional edging products.
